How this is calculated. Uber's 30% is their published Australian marketplace rate for orders they deliver — a Tier-1 fact from Uber's own merchant pricing page. The direct figure is $60 less card processing at typical Australian rates (industry figures suggest around 1.7–2.2% plus about 30¢ per transaction — check your own provider's rate, it will differ). The courier fee is not in either bar: on the marketplace it is inside Uber's commission, and on your own site you would normally charge it to the customer at checkout, as the platforms do. If you choose to absorb it instead, subtract it — industry figures commonly put a metro drop at roughly $8–12, and Uber does not publish a dollar rate for Uber Direct (their page says a fixed fee plus a distance fee), so treat that range as an estimate and get a quote for your own suburb. The break-even above uses your $198 Starter fee against the 30% rate; against Uber's 25% Webshop rate it is roughly $895 of monthly delivery volume instead.
